Historian of Thistle Lodge for many years. Grant was the Junior Warden in Thistle Lodge's 100^th Anniversary year and the Chairman of the Anniversary Committee to celebrate the 150^th anniversary.

Grant William Golden 75 Yrs, of R.R. 1, McGregor. Passed away May 2, 2000 at Windsor Regional Hospital, Metropolitan Campus. Loving husband of the late Elizabeth (nee Betty Nye, 1999). Dear father of Beth, Laura, Jeff, Ron and Tom. Loving grandfather of Kristin, Katie, Emily, Laura and Payton. Predeceased by his parents William (Bill) Golden (1959) and Nellie Golden (nee Hyatt)(1984). Grant retired from Chryslers in 1988 after 36 years of service. Member of C.A.W. 444. Served in Anderdon Twp. as a representative on the Amherstburg High Schol Board, the Committee of Adjustment and the Drainage Court of Revision, Life member and Past Master of Thistle Masonic Lodge, Lodge of Perfection, Rose Croix & Moore Sovereign Consistory, 32 Degree Mocha Temple and Sun Parlour Shrine Club.
